Choosing Losing a lot of blood or a little bit of blood

The author of this editorial states that Austin has roads that are extremely terrible when the holidays roll around. One of the worst well known causes of the catastrophes on the roads of Austin is Halloween night. The author feels that regardless of whether cop's are taking someone's blood sample to use to determine if they are intoxicated heavily is an invading procedure, that it is necessary. I agree on his point of view since the roads are already bad as it is but driving when u had how many bottles of alcohol in you while driving just makes all of the streets not safe even to walk on. Austin City Council stepped in on this issue concluding in their decision that policemen cannot take blood samples from those they suspect are drunken drivers, meaning that it only allows hospital workers the right to do so. In my opinion that's not too helpful since a police officer isn't going to have a hospital worker around with him at the time of incident. A big set back to prevent the dangers on the road. Its a lot better to retrieve a little amount of blood from the driver then to let them go by and possible cause an accident which would probably result in a blood bath. It sounds logically and you see this happen or hear about accidents involving drunken drivers all the time. His point of view sounds entirely logically that we should allow blood samples to better conclude if the suspect is drunk or not.

Too Many texans waiting for food stamps

The author of this editorial was explaining how he felt as if Texas was letting its people suffer hunger when we have the power to feed those in hunger. I agree with the author that he feels that food stamps are being processed at an extremely slow rate due to the fact that they are not taking it seriously enough and putting their act together. I feel that we deserve better and asking for a simple food stamps to be processed for those in desperate of need for them is a small necesity to ask for but our leaders are concerned with other pointless matters. It makes me feel very irritated to know that the process rate for the new applicants for food stamps was under 50% for this year. It shows and makes it seems that Texas doesnt care for its people nor what happens to them. It is explained that there is a huge shortage of state workers and he problem appears to be a act of the legislature's efforts to make an exclusive government program that was working well.
